Teddy Bear Stall Fundraiser: 13-15 July


Please come and help us raise funds by selling raffle tickets to the public from the wooden stall in Bournemouth Gardens.

Please volunteer to work a minimum of 1 hour at a time- you are welcome to work for longer! The ideal shift is 3-4 hours.

There will be at least 2 volunteers working at a time so it will be fun and sociable. Please remember that this is a commitment so make sure you're available and you can be sure you will be there before you volunteer.

Bourne Free 2014

Saturday 12th Jul 2014,

The theme this year is 'Through the Decades'

We have the opportunity of a 30ft float and a stall. This will take considerable planning and work.

If Service Users want to take part, they are encouraged to form their own focus group to organise it ASAP.

If a group has been formed, please speak to Jonny to ensure the group?s ideas fit with Bourne Free's brief, Risk Assessments, Health & Safety and the Charity's Community Awareness Strategy.

Come and experience how effective peer support can be. Discuss issues, engage with and learn from others and benefit from the type of support unavailable outside the safety net of the support centre. In addition you will undoubtedly make lasting friendships.

After the support element, Service users can take part in workshops and focus groups to:
1. help shape the provision of services
2. help manage daily running of the centre including things like refreshments
3. find out about regular volunteering roles including Newsletter Subeditor, Chef, or Gardener
4. get involved in projects like Raise a Ribbon, World AIDS Day, Bourne Free

You get out what you out in!
